I see no indicator in IE console of being in software rendering mode, even if I force it to software rendering mode in internet options->advanced. 8 fps... but I don't have an i5. I have a vacuum tube gpu. heh. I think its those darned BSP's. I met some when I was in Chicago, once. They're arrogant and they never pick up the tab for dinner. (huh?)
