Jose E Lopez
I saw that the other day. These codecanyon developers are buying assets for like $20 bucks, implementing them in a game template, and selling the product from $12 to $60 bucks. People are buying them so far so these developers are seeing a return on their investments. I think the biggest disservice here is to the assets community. People who want to make a quick buck are going to buy these templates and try to sell them "as is" or with little modifications. So these assets will now pop even more on the lowest quality games and publishers will spot them from a mile off. Using low cost assets on a legitimate game will become harder, maybe even impossible. I can see a new term along no clones, no reskins: no low cost assets. Just my 2 cents.
