haden
My first Html5 game is nearly done and I want to have some devices to test on them. I already have an iPad 2 and an iPod touch 4th gen, and I am considering buying an Android phone and tablet (a Kindle Fire HD maybe). My question is : what kind of phone should I buy ? or is it enough to have the Kindle Fire for a start ?? Also, has anyone tried "appthwack.com" before ? P.Uri.Tanner
Made good experiences with http://browsertack.com but mainly for responsive web design. It's slow and not really comparable to the real deal - but it's straight forward enough to do broad tests. Get HIGH DPI Device for good measure. Your iPad is 127 PPI. http://screensiz.es/ Especially Android Apps can look crappy on High DPI. Been pretty happy with my Nexus 10, although it's HTML5 performance is lackluster. haden
Jarkko
I think P.Uri T won't mind if I correct the link - http://www.browserstack.com/It's pretty cool and inexpensive (and offers free trials) but I don't think it gives a good idea of the actual performance. For testing layout and design I use Intel XDK. It's free and has a nice set of emulators bundled. (For "real" testing I simply ask anybody who owns a phone to take a look at the game and tell how it went ) haden and P.Uri.Tanner

I will take a look at Intel's XDK I guess I can post the game here and ask you if you can give it a try
champignon champion
You should be getting whatever is the usual, since if you buy a high-end, "just-released" device, chances are that it will cover up the bottlenecks that appear when using older ones. And remember that you have to get to everyone!
