sandy234
30/70 seems to be way too less for developer. Is it worth going with them
rich
I agree with Matt, I don't know any that do 50/50. Once you've made a few more posts you'll have access to the Sponsors area on this forum - check out some of the companies in there and try offering your game to them. nsgames
From my own limited experience thus far, I tend to agree with the sentiments already expressed. We have been approached by some publishers who initially offered a 50% to 70% revenue split in our favor...but every one of them suddenly flaked-out when it came time to get down to business for real. One of them acted like they did not even remember any of our games nor our previous conversations.
PrzemyslawSzczepaniak
Depends on what revenue shares you are speaking of. Freemium, ads, subscription? For example we made couple deals in 50/50, or 70/30, 60/40 for us and vice versa. Depends on you too - since you are the developer, and you bring the content that brings revenues for publisher - you should start with negotiable ratio of revenues when speaking to publisher. NewDisplayName
On rare occasion. Most publishers that offer revenue shares are a waste of your time, but there are a few who work to earn their 60% or 70% cut while still making it worthwhile for you. It's easier to make a game than it is to reach millions of users...the publisher deserves the larger share. Agreed. In addition, while your first game may be quite a low revenue share, if you prove your games are of good quality and are attractive to players, you may be able to convince them to give you a larger revenue share later on. wizardstudioz
I really dont belive Publishers will share good revenue with developers, they barely show transperent metrics when asked.this happend in flash i dont know with mobile publishers
Luminous Wizard
There are publishers who are doing 50/50 Toon Goggles seems to be growing.
SolarJS
@wizardstudioz In mobile it got more professional. Most publishers (of those I spoke too, which is just 5) who offer revenue share have a good backend. Ask for a showcase or testaccount to see what is coming up. If you're looking for a Mochi-like (R.I.P., miss it) metrics, you may try the newly launched http://famobi.com
Reborned
I think 50% of revenue share should be the minimum acceptable. Less then it is a joke.
Funkyy
Its better to get 10% from $1 Million, than 100% from $100.Who cares what is the %? Its all about traffic and how much you can make through it on the end. If website have 10K views a month will you be happy to have 50% through them? Not likely since you will probably not make any money anyways. plicatibu
agamemnus
Yes, I would be extremely happy for 10K views a month, if those views are US or Europe. There is an order of magnitude difference in the ad revenue between US/Europe/Australia/etc. and places like China/India/Africa/South America/most of southeast Asia. I agree with Matt, I don't know any that do 50/50. Once you've made a few more posts you'll have access to the Sponsors area on this forum - check out some of the companies in there and try offering your game to them. Does this exist anymore? I mentioned to the website - 10K views to the website overall. So you would got fraction of it. The point was - its better to go to multimillion users distribution network even for 30/40% than with some small, hobby like service that offers few thousand views a month to top games for 50%. agamemnus
Ah, gotcha. P.S.: rich, I see the forum now. Thanks. (maybe it was always there and I need to clean my eyes? But thanks anyway, in general!)
SolarJS
I agree with Funkyy, it's all about the traffic. You may also want to ask for a non refundable advance payment. Sites with huge traffic mostly agree to this and it shows commitment too.

Luminous Wizard
How is 63 euro for 7 months even remotely good? Haha it was a reskin of a template, and for a first game I think it's pretty good?
sandy234
Even for a reskin thats next to no money. You could have just exported your game to android and IOS and in 7 months with most crappy download rate you would make atleast 150$
