Switchbreak
Hey, so I just saw this place and figured it couldn't hurt to show off my HTML5 game project I made for Ludum Dare 26. It's my first try at making a game with HTML5/Javascript, I used Cocos2D-html5 to do it. It's called MinimaLand: The direct link is here: http://switchbreak.net/Prototypes/MinimaLandPrototype/Ludum Dare page is here: http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-26/?action=preview&uid=2645 Controls are arrow keys or WASD, space to jump. Chris
A very cool idea Also a very lovely graphical setting. Two annoying things for me: - The jumping sound.- This part (where I stopped playing after ~500 tries): http://d.pr/i/9oB7
Switchbreak
Yeah, I think that bit is where I've gotten the most complaints overall. If it weren't non-kosher to change a Ludum Dare game after the deadline I would be redoing that screen and the moving platform physics right now, heh. -AAG-
I only get a blank white screen when I click the link. I'm on chrome on windows xp.
Chris
Maybe no webgl support on your machine? Sounds like that.
Switchbreak
Hmm, no, shouldn't be that, I built it with 2.1.1, before they added WebGL to Cocos2D. I will have to get my hands on a Windows XP machine and do some testing. Thanks for the heads up AAG!
Chris
You can download a XP VM for testing from http://modern.ie
Mike
I win! Nice idea, for changing the visuals as games go. Do annoying screen is annoying but when you get the mechanic of the shorter jump is a bit better. And also there is a leap of fate on the end of that screen too.
