Summer Sports Collection

In celebration of 2021's "2020 Olympic Summer Games" we developed a collection of simple HTML5 summer sport themed games.  Each game is designed to load fast and run on desktop and mobile browsers (keyboard, mouse, touch controllable) usually with single button control.  Inspired by 80's favourites such as California Games, International Track & Field, NES Tennis these were all great fun to make:

 

ATHLETICS HERO (aka TRACK & FIELD HERO)

Choose your hero and compete in the 100m, Javelin and Triple Jump Track & Field events.  Time your moves to perfection. Will you win a Gold Medal across all events?

 

TENNIS HERO

Choose your hero and compete against 3 opponents in the Tennis event.  Serve and volley your way to victory! Will you win a Gold Medal across all opponents?

 

SKATEBOARD HERO

Choose your hero and compete in the Skateboarding Event.  Combo your jumps, grinds and tricks to ride your way to victory! Will you win a Gold Medal across all events?

 

SURFING HERO

Choose your champion and ride waves in the Surfing event. Press and hold to steer your board. Weave up and down to pump for speed. Launch from the top of the wave for air, add spins, score rad tricks and surf your way to victory!

 

From previous releases we also have two other Summer Sports games (MTB HERO, SOCCER HERO) and three Winter Sports games (HOCKEY HERO, SKATING HERO, SLALOM HERO).  So a total of 9 sports games for anyone looking for a unified sports collection.

Technical:

These games were developed with Haxe + awe6 + CreateJS and designed to run on any device at ~30fps.  No shaders here, all Canvas, so using some old-school skew effects for psuedo-3D.
