yigitusta
cavemenscreenshot.jpg951×623 275 KB Cavemen Cavemen is a game about pre-historic ice age period. It is a multiplayer survival game where players have to find shelter for their survival and food to restore their health. Players can attack each other and take the food dropped from dead (or disconnected) players. During the night time if the players are not in a cave they will lose their health gradually. Play Now! 2 Note: It might take a while to load for the first time if there hasn’t been any players online recently. This game was developed in two days during Global Game Jam 2019. ShrewdPixel
Greetings! Play tested using Chrome on MacOS Mojave. Not bad for a 2 day game jam - I'd like to see how it handles multiplayer. I did notice a slight graphical glitch that would appear randomly at times (see screenshot) If you're planning on making additions to the game, I'd start with sound and background music. (When the game was over the automated voice was a bit jarring.) After that, I'd add some animal life in place of some of the random food drops. Good Luck! yigitusta
Thank you ShrewdPixel, I noted down your feedback. We will release Cavemen 2 which will be much more improved. As developers we didn't have any game development experience apart from my 2017 GGJ Game. We do regular web development for a living. Also, our game artist only had experience in 3D graphics. So, this game was quite challenging and we were happy with the result ?. We honestly had no idea if socket was going to work properly and the game would be playable in multiplayer. That graphical glitch is most probably due to non-extruded tiles, I will try https://github.com/sporadic-labs/tile-extruder as a solution.
