We currently are discussing ways to make the Maya exporter more render-agnostic by providing a custom node interface, though we will likely not do any material operations in this interface (texture conversions, material blending, etc.) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Currently I use a pretty standard material workflow, in Maya Redshift - Diffuse Color/rsNormalMap/Reflection Roughness/Metalness - I'm not entirely sure what others might benefit from though.
