LOD Control

So besides doing my own LOD loops how can I control the build in LOD functions behavior?  

I need multiple LOD's to stay depending on distance.
So like even when at level 0 you would see 0, 1 & 2, at level 1 you would see 1, 2 & 3 and so on and so forth.

This is not possible with the automatic system as it will enforce one active level per frame

I guess you will have to create your own list and do it manually :(
