Kai Hartmann
Hello, I try to figure out the business model of cocoon.js, but with no luck so far. Does anybody know if cocoon.js is free to use for commercial products? Regards,Kai
blackmoondev
Hi Kai. Yup - it's free (at least for the moment). All you need to do is send them a email and you'll get "free premium" account with all the stuff you need:)
kali
How are your experiences with the perfomance of Cocoon apps? Ive only seen/used it with construct projects and the results were not convincing..
blackmoondev
We're only using it for iOS now - and the performance is similar/better than in Safari. (but we had a case where the game was running smooth in the browser and become sluggish and unplayable after wrapping it in Cocoon though). Zaidar
The demos on the launcher app on Android are quite convincing I think.
Kai Hartmann
Hi, thanks for the quick answer. I simply registered for CocoonJS in the meantime, and was a bit disappointed that I had no direct access to their libraries. Since I have no real project I work on, but just a few prototypes to mess around with, I did not bother to ask for the libraries. I downloaded Phonegap instead, which seems to bring everything with it out of the box.It has been quite some work to install all the components needed, though.
