GaryS
Hi all! Winter Sprinter is a simple Christmas themed casual endless dodging game - made with Phaser, as a Christmas promotion for Amplicon.com. Dodge icicles, collect PC parts, don't die. My top score is about 800... have at it. https://amplicon.itch.io/winter-sprinter Umz
Skeptron
Really nice game! I'm not sure that it's a plus though that the character won't stop running. Maybe it's a fresh new gameplay but I think I'd rather have him move when I press the arrows
GaryS
Funny you should say that - there was a bit of internal debate on that one. Originally we were hoping to have it work across mobile devices, in which case the mechanic would be 'tap to change direction', so endless running makes more sense there. We ran out of time for that, but you may notice that you can use the spacebar instead of the cursors. Glad you like the game!
Skeptron
Ok I found a trick : you can stay stuck to a wall by continously pressing one of the arrows. Thanks to that I could double my score : still at 176 though XD
GaryS
Yup, that's how I play... I think I got to 786 though, so....
Umz
Yea, I'm for the continuous running side, adds more difficultly and trickiness to the play. Fun game too, would be great to have more than one life at times haha, but really enjoying this one!! 76, highest so far ha, but over the next couple plays I'm sure it will increase
