Chris
Hey folks I've registered us a channel over at the IRC servers of freenode.netIf you want to have a chat while no new posts are waiting here on the board, come over and join us We can talk about current development and other stuff. If you need help setting up and connecting an IRC client, just post here and I'll try to help. If you have no IRC client installed on your machine, or can't install one, you can use this web client. Looking forward to see you on the channel greetings,Chris tackle, Noid, CrurnNubJuill33pdqwqtoe and 1 other

SilentxxBunny
Thanks for creating this, as I'm sure that some people will get a lot of use out of it. However, I'm generally hesitant about forums having IRC channels, as I feel that they cause more problem than they solve. I believe that part of what makes internet forums so great is how they are indexed in a natural and easy to search fashion. IRC channels are not quite as permanent. I've learned a lot about HTML5 game development by reading the forums here, and I feel that an IRC channel could be destructive to new users. Even still, I'll be watching this closely. There are plenty of good things about IRC channels, but there is one fatal flaw in them.
benny!
Cool - although I hope that such a chat does not kill interesting posts happening in this forum.

jpdev
Is there maybe a way to link this irc channel to the chat (see your toolbar above) that is already a part of this forum?
Chris
The web-chat came waaaaay after we created the IRC channel I don't think there's a way to connect those two.
leolrrj
I think that you can redirect the chat link at the top to the web client of freenode, or maybe insert an iframe to that webclient...It should be better than have two different chats! Erid
You could use https://kiwiirc.com/ as the IRC web client, I like it more than the Freenode one. I support the idea of using IRC as the web chat too, it'll be good to prevent splitting communication.
