HeadClot
Hey, just a quick question are there any plans to support AR Core or AR Kit with babylon.js?
brianzinn
I think those are both AR platforms for native apps, so I think the answer is no to your direct question. AR.js author has stated on Twitter that he plans to support arcore features, much like current ar.js is based off Tango source. There is a great thread in this forum already about AR with BabylonJS and it looks like AR.js will be available as a plug-in in the future!!! Looking forward to hearing other answers about direction here. I don't know if something like cocoonjs/phone gap/Cordova will be able to make arcore directly available... GameMonetize
Correct these 2 technologies are native. There are some experiments with hacked browsers but so far we have no direct access to them from JS I think that the hack done by Google will soon be available in browsers though. And as soon as the feature will be exposed, I will add support for it
brianzinn
Actually, looks like AR.js is already running in ARCore - that was fast! https://mobile.twitter.com/jerome_etienne/status/903659971312746496
stjepko
Positioning works great out of the box on S8 and WebArCore. https://github.com/google-ar/WebARonARCore http://david.blob.core.windows.net/babylonjs/SponzaVR/index.html S8_WebArCore.mp4
