scheffgames
The title says it. I'm curious about how PIXI works and I will probably get my hands dirty. But is it worth learning it properly if I'm already familiar with Phaser?
mattstyles
I'd say yes, definitely, always a good idea to get a feel for the nuts and bolts of a framework, can often be helpful, although I think the Phaser api for accessing Pixi is deliberately kept very similar (the same?). You don't need to do this to use Phaser very effectively, but its a good learning exercise and if you find yourself pushing Phaser/Pixi for perf then it should be a rewarding endeavour. I think Phaser v3 is moving to a different rendering layer though, and v2 doesn't use the latest Pixi version (I think) so there are those things to consider before digging in. scheffgames
