So I am finally getting around to integrating ads into my game app.  In admob,  the type of ad I want to place between scenes is called an "interstitial".   Not only is it a bit hard for me to pronounce, it's also a bit cumbersome to type in code.   Anyone know a shorter word with same meaning?

You can call it "full screen ad".

I use them too in my game.
