PrimeArwyn
Hello everyone. I just came across this article: https://www.engadget.com/2016/11/29/facebook-instant-games/ TL; DR : HTML5 games are coming directly into Messenger. What do you think of it? quiphop and plicatibu
rich
It's going to be really great. Keep your eyes open in the coming days, lots more info due out.
b10b
Oh yeah, about flippin' time! Edit: I'm excited because: 1) this may answer the question "who plays HTML5 games?", 2) Facebook usually follow up their new streams with a monetization process, 3) chat and instant competitive games are a natural fit, so discoverability may be achievable organically / virally - i.e. with merit or genuine innovation. Of course the platform might be crippled and all my assumptions may be wrong!
Red Spark
Not excited that much. Everyone will rush to embed their entire back catalog there, and in a couple months the thing will be hugely oversaturated. New games will be lost in a pile of already existing ones, as usual. Gio
It's interesting, but it is not clear to me how you'd make money out of it... no in-app purchases it seems, for now anyway
