mazoku
Are sponsors interested in 3D and other type of high requirements games that can be played on desktop with good quality? Not playable or bad performance on mobile? Just curious
Red Spark
I've never seen such a game on any html5 portal so I'm assuming they're not interested. Html5 is primarily a mobile target anyways, since html5 games usually serve as traffic pumps to native mobile games. It's where money are currently in. As HTML5 still is a quite young technologie and especially in regards to games far from being sophisticated, this is true. But (while looking back at the last ~3-4 years of its development) i think it won't be that long until this changes and HTML5 will be able to compete with native apps. Growing browser support of WebGl (http://caniuse.com/#search=webgl) and the development of WebGL 2.0 are quite promising and there are already some publisher that are starting to look for these games. E.g: https://games.famobi.com/?technology=webgl (+Working on mobile as well.)

In 2015 html5 tech was already sophisticated enough to make advenced 2d games a reality, but still there are no signs of them! I strongly believe the issue lies in the business model. It still can be fixed, but we need app store business models to crash first. So, let's wait till 2018 - 2020 and see
