mazoku
I wonder can you sell the exclusive license for web and still publish android version. I haven't sold any exclusives until now so I am curious what do sponsors think about this.
ozdy
Sure, in contract it specifically says web rights, so mobile rights are still yours.
blackmoondev
All the exclusive licenses agreements I saw required appstore rights as well.

All of my Flash exclusive deals didn't require mobile and around 50% of my exclusive HTML5 deals were web rights only. blackmoondev
OkijinGames
I have done both (web exclusive keeping store rights, store exclusive keeping web rights). One publisher had zero activities on the stores and didn't mind a web-only exclusivity. Another publisher wanted to try a GooglePlay/iOS exclusivity but I had already sold some non-excl so web exclusivity was not even in question. HTML5 Sponsors prefer both because it is cheaper to setup user acquisition on stores from their web activity but I don't think there is hard rule, discuss with sponsors and take the offer(s) that you think will get you the best deal. blackmoondev
