Arcanorum
I recently found out about the new top level domain name extension, .game, that will be available in May. https://www.uniteddomains.com/new-top-level-domain/game-domain-registration/ We finally have something that we can use for domain names for our specific games (instead of just having them as an extension of our personal/company websites), but I wonder how many people will actually make use of this. I am currently working on something cool and would love to have superfuntime.game. The prices do look like they have established game companies in mind, being a bit out of reach for individuals/small teams. What do you think? Will you be getting a .game domain? Think they are not worth the hassle? EDIT: Wow, news today of .games going to be available too, and at a more acceptable price for many. http://www.develop-online.net/news/games-websites-to-be-made-available-to-studios-later-this-year/0219958 Edited May 4, 2016 by Arcanorum
WombatTurkey
350$ no way... That's way too much. But the TLD is actually pretty nice as you said, for larger companies maybe
spdp
I was hoping for .games personally. I've been monitoring the history here and here for some time.
permith
I think you'd be better off getting a .cool domain for $30 a year, maybe a .lol for $31.

Those pages don't get updated regularly. .games will be available later in the year. http://www.develop-online.net/news/games-websites-to-be-made-available-to-studios-later-this-year/0219958 spdp
