Richard Maher
I'm not a gamer but I need to draw your attention to some HTML5 functionality that must be made available to you yet is currently being white-anted by W3C and the browser development teams that have a vested interest in flogging the dead-horse that is client-based geofences. In a nutshell, I am pleading with anyone and everyone who will listen to surface/expose a TravelManager object in the ServiceWorkerRegistration. (This is analogous to the current PushManager.) A "Travel" event would be sufficient to re-instantiate a previously terminated ServiceWorker. If you know that this makes sense then please take the time to visit: - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1249130 and the bottom of https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=383125 And W3C https://github.com/w3c/geofencing-api/issues/25 https://github.com/slightlyoff/ServiceWorker/issues/745 If you're interested please take the opportunity to comment or subscribe.
