martindrapeau
Ludo's Quest was first developed for mobile. I'm working on a PC version. Just added Gamepad control using the HTML5 gamepad API. Works in Chrome and Firefox. Looking for feedback on how well it works. If you have a generic, Play Station or Xbox controller, I'd like you to test it and some feedback. http://www.ludosquest.com/play Martin Drapeau www.ludosquest.com Freshly Squeezed Games LTD
marcgfx
didnt use a gamepad. but I have some feedback: - the hero slides around like its really icy all the time, making controlling him a pain - weird choice of buttons for jumping/attacking. space bar is normally the jump - the hint on how to run showed me to press % ?? might be good on us-keyboard, but not for swiss - I died pretty quickly. maybe restore health after a level? - to start the game, I pressed a button on the left that was only half visible
staff0rd
The ground feels like its covered in grease or something. I was using keyboard, and it would be cool if the menu could be keyboard operated - saving me from moving my hands to the mouse to go to the next level. Cool music. I'll work on the sliding and other things you reported. Thanks for the feedback.
martindrapeau
@staff0rd keyboard navigation for menus is coming. This is a must for using a gamepad. Thanks for your feedback.
marcgfx
you can use x,c,v for attacking. just don't use z as its often swapped for y
martindrapeau
@marcgfx I've implemented the proper keyboard keys. In addition, and to @staff0rd, Ludo slides a bit less. I'm trying to keep things a bit realistic with momentum. Let me know if I should tone it down some more. http://www.ludosquest.com/play
