How to set filter thickness?

Hi there.

 

I want to set the thickness of the filter like we can set thickness for the text stroke, is it possible? Size of the shadow is the same as shadowed object, but I want to set shadow size a little bit bigger than the object size is, how can I do this?

I set shadow distance=0 and want see some shadow around the object, like it's a stroke, but I don't want stroke, I need for shadow.

 

Also you can see an example which I made in flash ide, I set distance=0.
