Wow! That was quite a month.

Who learned anything new about shaders? I know I did. I learned that it is a serious business. And a serious business one must learn!

We have 3 submissions to this month's challenge.

The first is JohnK which really made a wonderful fur shader with randomness and image textures and a lot of other fun things

The second is Temechon with his Lava material. Which is already integrated in the material library. Which just proves this challenge was a good one! Playground is here - http://www.babylonjs-playground.com/#1BLVWO

The 3rd is mine. What I wanted to achieve was mesh manipulations using the pointer's position. There are two modes - centralizing and spreading

Spreading - http://babylonjs-playground.com/#19NUUR , centralizing - http://babylonjs-playground.com/#19NUUR#1 . Hover with your mouse to see the effect (and maybe zoom in to actually see what's happening). This is just a start! :) I told you you could submit prototypes...

Poll is open, enjoy voting!

Next month's challenge requires a bit of organization on my part. So it might take a bit of time. Be patient :)

Oh! And the winner of last month's challenge! As you can see here - http://www.html5gamedevs.com/topic/18311-babylonjs-october-challenge-the-results/page-2?mode=show the wonderful Maze of iiceman won. Wann kommst du nach Berlin? Beer is on me! ;-)

Well I voted for everyone. Basically because anyone who took up this challenge deserves a vote for bravery - and on top of that, the results, each in their own way,  are absolutely fascinating. Well done all :)

cheers, gryff :)

Putting a lens of which one would I most likely put in a game as is, I voted for the Lava.  It needs to be slowed to a speed = .2 to make it look "heavy" enough, but then instant mote.

That does not means the source of the others is not worthy of theft.  The fur could be adapted for something that could not possibly done with vertices.  The mouse pointer thing starts to look usable once you turn wireframe mode off.  If it turned down the distortion a bit, it could used as some kind of magnifier tool.

For all of them, gotta say they all were more than I had expected.
