Pixel Size Limit on Phaser with Isometric plug-in

Hi,

 

Is there a limitation on the pixel size that you can use for the sprites?

 

I'm asking this because, I've created an isometric map that loads 2 different sprite atlas depending on if you are on a desktop or mobile device. The mobile sprites have a size of 256*256px and the desktop ones have a size of 512*512px.

 

My problem is that the desktop version has a low frame rate (1-5 fps) while on the mobile version it has a solid frame rate (60fps). If I change the game logic to use the mobile map on desktop the frame rate goes to 60fps.

 

That's why I need to know if there is a limitation with the sprites size. 

 

Any help would be appreciated  :(
