relaxx
Anyone using https://appthwack.com/ for testing? I got some test with scaling issues (black borders, overscale, etc). At the same time on the real devices i have for testing - all working good. Is it my app/code problem or maybe it is apptwack common issue? (screenshots taken too fast after game starts?) tdp
Hi, Trent from AppThwack here. The black borders and scaling issues you're seeing could very possibly be related to timing of the screenshots and any loading/animations on the screen. I'm happy to take a look if you email us more details (specifically your project's name) at [email protected]. Have you looked at any automation frameworks to more consistently navigate flows in your game? I've seen a lot of devs go down that route with great success, but it definitely requires some forethought. For example, oftentimes the automation drives the app through an internal API rather than interacting with the surface through gestures, etc. The end result, though, is that you'll be able to simulate gameplay, measure specific performance metrics, and trigger screen captures exactly where you want. Happy to answer further questions about AppThwack and automated testing in general.
