sanojian
The theme of reversed immediately made me think of cars driving in reverse which led to crash-up derby! Here is the latest build. It is not a game yet, just a demo. You can't damage the other cars yet. I have spent all of the compo time so far making a mini physics and driving engine. Now there are only two weekends left So I can probably only implement one of the following in the time left. This whole demo is only 6K so I have plenty of space left. Looking for input on which of these I should do. multiplayerdeformable cars that show collision damagedifferent vehicles, trucks, minicars, etcprogressively difficult levels with a high score leaderboardperfect the physics and collisionmobile supportsomething else? remvst
Looks promising As for the direction to take, I'd say focus on gameplay. Get the core game features ready so it actually becomes a game, then polish it. It's probably gonna take a lot of space to make it a game (rules, menus...), so you might as well start now, before realizing you don't have enough space. end3r
Looks like a cool concept - I'd also go for building the core gameplay first, so you actually have a playable game as soon as possible. If you have time and free space left you can think about adding extra features or polishing the game.
sanojian
This is really great advice, @remvst and @end3r I should have learned this by now. The most boring part of making games for me is creating levels/stages and UI so I usually leave it for last and run out of time. I will take your advice and complete the gameplay first, thanks!
