AhmedElyamani
That's great , thanks BenIt because its just white so it won't matter if the browser switches the red channel with the blue one. Does it load properly?
mentuat
Tested on an iPad 1 (safari, iOS 5), some thoughts:- About 10% of the bottom of the game seems to be cut off- each level select button seem to be chopped off at the bottom- the 'back' and 'replay' buttons seem to overlap the gameplay area as if they just need to be moved up a bit- the drag movement of blocks feels a bit off, as if the registration point is only on one part of it. Sometimes a block will not move when dragged, other times it will move without being controlled- visually it's quite flat/dull. Maybe the background or target blocks could offset the brown a bit? AhmedElyamani
Thanks for the reply! 1. If you mean the board of the game , it's meant to do that , but if you mean the actual play area , I'd like a screenshot please.2. I will fix this , Thanks for point it out!3.Will do.4.I fear I can't make anything better than this to run smoothly on lower FPs , like on the iPod , if I run too much fps it will not be better , but worse.5.I'll see what I can do
mentuat
on point 4 - it's not an fps issue, it runs smooth enough as it is. The problem seems to be that the block will slide left or right even if I have not actively dragged it, it seems to depend on where I initially touch the block. Similiarly - sometimes the bock will not move even though I have dragged it a bit (and at other times it will appear to judder back and forth a bit as if can't decide which side to go!) some screenshots:
AhmedElyamani
Thanks a lot for the screenshots. I've always though the iPad had a resolution of 640*960 , I was wrong. You are absolutely correct about the other point too , I will fix it. [EDIT] why isn't the address bar hidden?
mentuat
address bar doesn't hide on an iPad
AhmedElyamani
address bar doesn't hide on an iPad Oh , well , never heard of that. Is there actually anyway I can use to hide the address bar on the iPad ?
mentuat
sorry I should have clarified a bit better - as far as I'm aware there is no way to hide the address bar in safari on an iPad with any version of iOS unless you make the webpage a 'webapp' (by adding some metatags to the html) and the user selects 'add to home screen'. Obviously it's not reasonable to expect the user to do this - so I would work under the assumption that the address bar will never be hidden.
