BdR
I want to do a simple water effect, but I'd rather not use the shaders/filters because I fear it will give bad performence on mobile. It's for a puzzle type game viewed from above, and the surrounding will be water, so each level looks like an island in the sea. The water would be a screen filling effect and it doesn't have to be photo reaslistic, something like the water patterns in Zelda Windwaker is great too. For the moment I've got just a static image with a water pattern like above, which looks a little dull. Any ideas how to animate water without using shaders or filters?
