paulsouthport
Hi guys A couple of quick questions: I have a simple scene, no animation, in Chrome it idles around 5%-10%, in IE11 and Edge it idles over 65%. Is this normal? Is there a WebGL flag for those browsers? In terms of mesh efficiency, is it more efficient to use image alpha instead of actual geometry (or lack of) to create, for example, a door through a wall? thanksPaul
davrous
Hi, We won't be able to help you without a repro scene to have a look at. ;-) Generally speaking, in our tests, Chrome and Edge are the fastest browsers and have very similar or identical performance results. Chrome is still better than Edge when there's a lot of draw calls but not with the delta you're mentionning. So we really need to review your scene to have an idea. paulsouthport
Hi David thanks for the feedback (and the MVA series on Babylon -very enjoyable!) The scene is at ruddock.me.uk/squeak It appears in Edge I get a fallback to software rendering only, in Chrome it is hardware, so I guess this a driver issue? thanksPaul
GameMonetize
Yes:) this is definitely a driver issue
