eggborne
It is using WebGL in both cases, and I have turned on "use hardware acceleration" in Firefox (latest version). I see the same difference in the mobile versions of Chrome and Firefox I made my site again from scratch when 3.0 came out, and the version of the site which uses the old Pixi still performs similarly in both browsers. Is there an acknowledged difference in Pixi 3.0's ability to perform in Firefox vs. Chrome?
xerver
You can look at the profile tab of the dev tools and see what is running slowly. I don't know of anything off the top of my head that would cause that.
WinMac32
Firefox does seem to have a history of poor OpenGL performance when compared to Chrome. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=918941https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=856900 Although, I can't comment on the difference between Pixi versions. In my case, Firefox doesn't seem to like my particular graphics configuration, and performs poorly. Chrome not so much.
