MichaelD
Hello, Like the title says I have a text on a game that appears quite blurry or like it has smoothness applies to it. I was wondering if there is a way to make it more crisp to improve legibility. I'm attaching a screen of how it looks, I think it is quite obvious. XekeDeath
Have you tried Math.floor'ing the x and y position of the text..?Usually blurry text is a result of it not being pixel aligned... MichaelD
MichaelD
Thanks I'll try that. Yes that solved it, however when the game is scaled up due to browser size the text still looks pixelated. I understand this is another issue altogether, I would appreciate some input though.
jeancode
Are you using a bitmap font ? The renderering is worse than a regular font object, especially if you scale it. That would explain the blurry effect imo.
MichaelD
No regular font for the exact reason you said.
drhayes
I've had tons of issues when my game gets scaled up. I'm literally drawing Phaser to an offscreen canvas then drawImage'ing to the onscreen canvas to resize. Then again, I'm making a pixel art game where the hero is like 8 pixels high... but maybe it'll help you? When the canvas resizes my graphics by itself the dread specter of bilinear filtering rears its head. I'm considering adding a build step to enlarge all my assets and then let Phaser resize it down (which prevents blurring) but then all my physics values are messed up.
