rich
It looks and sounds great - but damn that is seriously hard! I couldn't even complete 1 dungeon - anyone else manage it?
druphoria
Good concept, but I agree with Rich on the difficulty. It's difficult to the point where it's more frustrating than anything else. I don't think you should have to start an entire level over after making a single mistake - maybe give a few lives or something along those lines? Hsaka
Thanks for playing guys Is it too difficult because running into walls === death? I figured that the ability to queue up a turn before you actually reach a corner would mitigate against that.I'll try adding a life system and see how that works. venomdev
I agree about it being difficult, I gave up after about 5 attempts because a wall equals death. I don't know how important that is to the actual game play. Couldn't you just rebound or halt at a wall?
Hsaka
Thanks guys, I've reduced the difficulty level significantly by removing wall deaths. Please let me know your thoughts.
rich
Ok that's definitely better! I managed to get to dungeon 2 now, but the 2 baddies got stuck in really short pieces of the map and I couldn't get a bomb close enough to kill them and just died. I think the concept here is great, it just feels like it needs a little refining - for example I think the bombs should drop instantly, there is quite a delay in them dropping at the moment, which makes timing them to get the baddies more luck than skill. Also their blast radius is tiny
Hsaka
Thanks for your advice Rich, it's always very useful. I've improved the enemy AI so they won't get stuck and also reduced the time taken to plant spells. The explosion is now bigger too.
Boogle
Very nice, I stopped playing at level 11 - Are you planning a high score system/progress score system and achievements to ensure players have goals to work toward. Also, I tried dying multiple times on level 11 to see if the game would end but I just kept coming back to life. Edit: Oh, I pressed the X button and it took me to a list of levels (hadn't seen that before - must be in progress). Also saw a scratch-it game thing and spell selector. Some interesting concepts being put together there.
Hsaka
Hi, thanks for playing! When you play the game for the first time, we jump you directly into the first level and bypass the level select screen (since you have to start at level 1 anyway). The game doesn't really end; there is literally an endless number of levels to play which get progressively more difficult. The goals to work toward are really to collect gold (for unlocking new levels) and to get lucky tickets (for getting gold and unlocking new spells). You get 1 lucky ticket for every 1000 stars you collect. In the Android app on the play store, there is an incentivized advertising component to the game, where you can get extra loot (gold, stars, lucky tickets) in exchange for watching an ad. I hate it when games force players to look at ads, so really it's your choice whether to want to view the ad in exchange for a reward or not.
