ralphinator
Retro Cruiser! is a classic scrolling shooter. I pulled the images from the phaser examples and projects I've worked on in the past. I'm not planning on selling this game so that probably as far as I'm going to take this project. However, I did make the game so that adding or changing the heros, baddies, power ups, pretty much everything so the theme could be completely re-themed so I may decide to make this more interesting in the future. Here's game: Retro Cruiser!

Milton
Love it. These are the things I tried to make on my c64 in the old days... Never quite succeeded though, and it took ages. I wonder how long it took professionals at the time.
ralphinator
Love it. These are the things I tried to make on my c64 in the old days... Never quite succeeded though, and it took ages. I wonder how long it took professionals at the time. Every time I make a new game I think the exact same thing. My first game had physics and a particle emitter. I couldn't even fathom making somthing like that on an atari system. Shortly after my first game I even rolled my own 2d platform independent game engine. It took me about 4 months in my free time but it's not like I was slaving away at it. Now we have things like phaser which make platform independent game development sooo easy. Just put in a browser and you're done. Mostly anyway, you still need to watch out for supported asset (image and sound) types but the actual game logic is all the same. Now if I could only figure out how to get paid for doing this stuff.
