SoundsLikeJord
I read this thread and took the advice to check out http://www.codecademy.com/ I must say it is a fantastic place to get your feet wet in JavaScript and other HTML5 related languages. I have worked with basic ActionScript 3 in the past but besides HTML/CSS, I don't have much of a background in writing code. My background is actually in composing music and designing sound for apps/games but I have lots of ideas of fun things to develop so I decided to try to be proficient at HTML5, particularly with JavaScript. If you're looking for a really engaging way of learning JS check out Code Academy ...I'm hooked! Its fun, simple and helps you learn rapidly. Can't believe I am spending my friday night learning "for loops" and "arrays" haha. Thank you to those who contribute such helpful information in this forum.
