gsgames
Hi, as I'm just getting started in HTML5 dev I'm looking to acquire some test devices and I see iPhone 3gs's are going pretty cheap on ebay, just about the price I can currently afford. Would that be suitable for HTML5 testing or is it too old?
rich
I'd say it's too old. You can buy a 4th (or maybe 5th) gen iPod Touch for a roughly similar price, which would be much more useful.
gsgames
Yeah, I kind of expected as much. I guess you gotta spend money to make money. Thanks.
MikeHart
I have an IPod 2gen with IOS 4.2 on it and it runs HTML5 games like crap. The 3GS is not better in specs. Not worth the money for HTML5 testing.
Felipe
I really recommend doing what rich said. As apple devices are a bit expensive I always choose iPods. They basically are the same as the new devices but cheaper. I got an iPod 5 and 4 and both run my games like silk.
gsgames
Thanks for all your replies. I guess I'll be going with a 4th gen iPod Touch.
