MikeHart
Hi folks, Neon Command 2 is a game that I try now to be as optimizied as possible for running on HTML5 mobile devices. Please give it a run and let me know how it performs and on what device. http://www.whiteskygames.com/games/NeonCommand2/MonkeyGame.html Mostlikely I will remove the background music and the options from the game. Any suggestions and critics are welcome. CheersMichael
remvst
I like it a lot On my Galaxy S3:- doesn't work on the Android browser (can't click the play button, nothing happens)- works perfeclty on Opera, Firefox (sound works on FF), Chrome On my Geeksphone Keon (Firefox OS), it first crashed, don't know exactly why. After reloading, the sound plays but I only see a black page (no menu). Nothing changes when adding it to the home screen, after reloading several times. Hope that will help MikeHart
ani12321
Tested on Lumia 520(internet explorer) and it works really well and fast. When tapping the screen multiple times it just doesn't play sound at all(I guess this is a bug of the game) MikeHart
MikeHart
Thanks guys for the input. Really helpful. Anyone else who can give it a try?
remvst
Just letting you know, it works on Android browser now. There is a top highlight color issue, but the game is working fine. If I could make a suggestion, use higher-resolution images. It looks too blurry, and I'm sure you can use better images without any impact on performance
MikeHart
Thanks for testing and the suggestion again. What do you mean by "Top highlight color"????
remvst
Thanks for testing and the suggestion again. What do you mean by "Top highlight color"????I meant "tap highlight color", but it doesn't do it anymore. Maybe the CSS did not load properly the first time
Evan Burchard
(Played with firefox) Loved missile command. This is a great tribute. As for suggestions, maybe deactivate the debugging functionality of the space bar. It's a behind the curtain look that I didn't need. I never ran out of firepower, even with the first powerup, but the bar at the top seemed to suggest that I could. Maybe that's because I was on a desktop, but I thought that meant there would be a way to charge my shot to use more of the power for a bigger blast. The twitch to center at the beginning is jarring. Maybe use CSS to center the playfield, or don't center it at all. Maybe your debugging box is bumping it over. I'm not sure.
MikeHart
Thanks Evan for your info. About the energy, ofcourse you shoudl run out of energy when fire to often. It refills, but currently to fast. I have to fix that. I didn't notice the twitch to the center. Will look into this. And the debug drawing of the box2D world will be removed :-)
