Meulta
Hello guys, First I will take this opportunity to introduce myself. I'm a geek, a gamer and early adopter. I joined Microsoft a few month ago and as an technical evangelist my day to day job is to talk about tools, HTML5, javascript and mobile development.I also recently joined the Babylon.JS team and my first work coming to life is the Procedural Textures ! What are procedural textures ? In a classic texturing technique you apply a pre generated image on a mesh. The idea behind procedural textures is to use code running on the GPU (with shaders) to create a texture using :Only code (with random and noise algorithm)One or more texture + code to add so randomnessI wrote a wiki article about them here : https://github.com/BabylonJS/Babylon.js/wiki/How-to-use-procedural-textures%3FAlso, you can test them in the playground, there is a cool demo scene : http://www.babylonjs-playground.com/# Do not hesitate to give me you feedback about them and try using them. :-) Here is a teasing picture : Meulta. Stephen Andrews
Excellent work Meulta! I'm really looking forward to this. Are you planning to make more default textures such as Voroni and Musgrave algorithms? Also, your playground link is broken
