smandery
Hello, My name is Steve Mandery founder of ThinkU.com. We have developed an HTML5 platform for browser based virtual worlds. We are currently working on a project for a kids brand, Pillow Pets. We have recently launched PillowPetsWorld.com in beta. We are looking for additional game developers to help speed up our game development for this project. If you visit the site, go to the Moon, you will notice a Space game that we currently have live. Here is a few links to several games that will also go live by the end of this week. http://streetalchemygames.com/ppw/Match3Game/ http://streetalchemygames.com/ppw/JumpGame/ http://adamsi.com/view/pillowpets/ We have all the assets and sounds already developed and ready to go. We also have pretty solid documents to follow. Our games are developed using withpulse.com game engine. So far we have been paying 50% up front and 50% at the completion of a game which has seemed to work out well for everyone. If interested please contact me. rich
Is using Pulse mandatory for this work?
smandery
Using pulse is required. All of our games and world are built in pulse. It is very easy to pick up.
rich
I assume you guys built Pulse then? I can't imagine why it's a requirement otherwise Do you have examples of what games you need done, as you said you've got the assets ready - it might give potential devs an idea of what is expected of them. smandery
The reason is every game that runs in the virtual world runs off of the base engine and uses a single scene, that way data can be passed correctly and resources can be correctly removed when the game ends. I will work on getting a few images up.

rich
Cool thanks for the explanation. The screen shots look lovely. I've put this post into the twitter queue for this site and my own personal twitter account, so hopefully you'll get some interest once it hits. gjbarter
Hi, Just looking at the Pulse engine, does anyone notice any major slow-down on the Megaman demo on the website? http://withpulse.com/demos/megaman Running in Chrome and Safari btw. Looks interesting but seems to have a major problem with scrolling images.
alex_h
It does seem to be fairly processor intensive. I was looking at it last night and it chugged like hell on my ropey old laptop at home. But on my much more powerful work desktop today it runs quite smoothly.
Evan Burchard
The megaman demo was slow for me too (firefox/chrome). The "Hello World" demo came up almost instantly though.
