drmop
Hi, Do many engines publicly available or home grown use Pixi as a base? I'm thinking about modifying my own to sit on top of Pixi if the license terms allow it. Are there also any alternatives to Pixi? Thanks Mat
xerver
Phaser is built on top of Pixi. There are alternatives to Pixi but Pixi is the fastest and arguably the most popular.
rich
Panda is built on-top of Pixi too. The license is bog standard MIT, do whatever you like with it.
drmop
Thanks for the info, think I will start looking at Pixi
Mat Groves
Pixi was built simply to render stuff on screen. That way it could be used for games and other kinds of experiences too. The way phaser and panda use pixi is a perfect use case for it. It means Rich and Eemeli can worry about making cool game functionality of their engines and not have to worry about how stuff gets drawn to the screen. The Pixi license is MIT too so that means you are free to use it as you please, no strings attached drmop
