sandy234
Is it normal for sponsor to have a clause on contract by which they can make sequels and mobile versions of the game by themselves.Should this clause be acceptable?
Makio
You can negociate it, but it sounds normal for me. A lot of time the society whitch made the html5 game are different of the company whitch create the mobile version.
rich
I would ask for such a clause to be removed.
fatalfluff
Be very careful to give your intellectual property out of hand. I generally don't do that, and if I would, there would be a hefty price tag attached. In no way can they get to buy out the rights with a regular non-exclusive license fee. @99golems
I sell licenses to use my game, not the intellectual property itself. Unless this is for a client who is paying me a lot of money for an exclusive game, or if they own the Intellectual Property and are just having me develop the game, I would ask to have this line removed from the contract. sandy234
Seller shall transfer all the title and ownership of in the Games, including any auxiliary title in assets relating to the Games, either defined in this Agreement or not, including:Assignment of Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights: The Seller hereby conveys to the Buyer any title, ownership and copyright in the Games held by the Seller. Can any1 tell me what above means. English is not my native language. Does this means that i transfer my game rights to sponsor and i not longer held the copyright??? @99golems
This means you are selling the rights completely. The other company will own your game and can do whatever they want with it, while you will not be able to do anything at all with it. What company is this? this seems silly.
