  2. Hello, My graphic design firm Hieronymus (hieronymus.co) is looking to hire someone to create a small side scroller game for a corporate client of ours. We’ll provide all the artwork, but need a developer to put it together. The overall concept isn’t too wild: it’s generally going to feel and act like the first level of Super Mario Bros. We’ll provide sprite states for the characters and objects, as well as audio. The final product should be able to run in HTML, as it will live on the client’s website for a time, as well as be ported into an arcade-style standing platform for trade shows. We’re looking to start near the end of October and have a fairly long schedule; it won’t launch until the end of the year (or sooner, as I assume this will take a fraction of our total time). We need someone in the USA, though NYC or surrounding area would be ideal. If someone is interested, we'd love to speak in greater detail. Hello, I am building a continuous sidescroller game using Phaser. the game has parallex scrolling background, i have added the background as tilesprite and given it autoscroll. i am spawning the ledges on which the player runs as the game progress. my problem is that the game is a bit jerky in nature, it sometimes lags for a sec or two what can i do to resolve this? any suggestions are welcomed http://gamegurus.com/demos/RunningMan/ , here is the latest build of the game. I have a day job as a graphic designer, and spend another 60 hours a week on top of that building a weird shooter/rpg in Construct 2.   6. Hi everyone. I have spent the last 3 weeks making my first java script game that you can check out here The game should work on all modern phones, tablets and PC's. The controls for PC are up arrow or left click to jump and space or right click to fire. The game is called Fay Fire and was made using the WADE framework. Most of the art comes from here, though an artist helped with some assets. It is a side scrolling shooting game where you take control of a dragon, and battle through the levels, defeating foes and collecting gems. I have included some screenshots below. Please tell me what you think.
  7. Hey! Here is Rollik, a game i've made for Android with CocoonJS. It's a simple concept, and for no reason i can't stop playing... My brother is actually the higher score with 24, tell me what's yours. Google Play https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FireTotemArena.Rollik Instructions - Tap and hold to keep engine activated. - Fuel remaining is represented with the colored ball inside Rollik. The smaller it is, the less fuel Rollik has. - Completely land on a platform to start refueling (the colored ball will become green). - While refueling, you can't take off until you leave the platform (the colored ball will become red if you try). Keep pressing with your finger and it will automatically take off when leaving the platform. That's all. Have fun!!
  8. Click here to play Super Rawr-Type Redux now! Super Rawr-Type Redux is my second game made with Impact.js. It took me a total of 90 days to make. The code is open source, and can be found here. Visit my blog to see my brief post mortem, as well as other JavaScript projects I've worked on! It may take a bit to load, as it's being served from my public Dropbox folder until I can get my Azure site up. Any and all comments and criticism are appreciated. Thanks for checking it out! I’ve spent the last 3 months working on the follow up to my previous game, Super Rawr-Type. It was a simple side scrolling 2D shmup, which I wrote in JavaScript and also ported to Windows 8. One bug prevents me from getting it into the store, and I’m not able to replicate it, so who knows if it will ever be released there. Super Rawr-Type Redux is finally finished, or at least to the point where I’m satisfied with it. It’s a single stage, vertical slice of something I’d like to potentially continue on in the future, but I have other things I’d like to pursue at the moment, such as a C++ / DirectX11 game, which I’ll begin working on with 3 friends starting November 1st. You can play the game from here. There are a few occasional bugs that I’m aware of, and others which I can’t reproduce, but I’m leaving this project “as-is” to begin work on other things. The loading time is horrendous (thanks DropBox), but until I find an alternative or faster hosting solution, it is what it is. It works in all major browsers, and although it works on several mobile browsers (Safari, for example), I haven’t implemented touch controls, so you won’t be able to move anywhere.
