Hi all! I've been programming professionally for 15 years, and as a hobby for near 20 (since I was 8 years old!) - I absolutely love programming, and I love challenges involved with making games, and I really want to make a game, but I don't want to design one. At work, I am a senior software engineer and do a lot of data engineering as well as application development. I do a lot of dev ops and tooling as well. I long for making games, but I dont have the desire to design a game. I want to apply my skills with coding instead. I have a lot of experience with C Style languages (This includes, java c#, javascript, c++, all them curly brace languages lol) - but mostly javascript. I have strong knowledge in OOP, Procedural language, and intermediate experience with Functional Programming. I did make a couple games in the past (space arcade: the game, and starcede) back in 2011, made a few bucks or whatever, but I really don't have a "vision" for a game or a desire to "design" a game. I'd much rather be involved with someone or a team that needs a programmer, and I want to do this as a hobby. If you are an experienced game designer, developer, have an idea , or just want to prototype something, please send me a message. I'm not doing this for money, I'm doing this for the sheer joy of programming and the joy of making stuff. Right now, my only satisfaction out of making this would be my name on the credits, and to be able to tell the world that I worked on that. I'm mostly an application developer, my strongest suit is Javascript, but I also have a lot of familiarity with Unity and C#, and I've programmed in many other languages (basic, php , c++, java, etc) My github: https://github.com/MattMcFarland Completed Games: http://www.kongregate.com/games/tonechild/space-aracade-the-game http://www.kongregate.com/games/myplayyard/starcede Prototyping stuff with pico8: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?uid=23823&mode=carts Hit me up! I'm just looking mostly for hobby stuff, but if your project will be making money and you feel I might be a good fit, then I might want to share revenue.
