YOUTUBERS - CONTENT CREATORS Content creators on YouTube today are seeing their revenues reduce, and for some - completely vanish. This is due to the lack of advertisers. YouTube Red, is a paid subscription which allows users to pay YouTube directly to have ad-free feeds, recently had a massive change in policies which favor channels releasing a few videos a day instead of people that are making time-consuming animated videos and/or well-researched documentaries. Many YouTubers have already pleaded their cases with their subscribers and ask, most reluctantly, for donations or announce in no uncertain terms, that they would have to stop making videos altogether. Euncoin will allow YouTubers to return something of tangible value to their donors and in turn, their donors will be able to use the coins to buy goods, trade Euncoin for other currencies or even use them to further help Content Creators. DONORS AND PATRONS Until Euncoin, donors, patrons and their contributions to YouTubers and other Content Creators were only made to support the content they were getting in return. Generosity is great, and so is returning the favor. Now Content Creators have a mean to do it and donors will receive equally what they give. Also, it is giving donors an easy way to get coins and start their journey into the world of cryptocurrency. BLOGGERS AND PODCASTERS Like YouTube videos; researching subjects for blog and podcasts can be time-consuming. And just like videos, the revenues generated by these communication channels can return little or no money at all. Euncoin can help writers and hosts to pursue their dreams part-time or full-time by allowing them to offer coins to their faithful audience in exchange for their financial contributions CODERS AND GAME DESIGNERS In the emerging Virtual Reality (VR) industry, most games and applications are created, tested and maintained by individuals and volunteers. The success of cryptocurrency is well known in the tech world. Receiving Euncoins for beta testing, developing or financing new software and games will really be a game changer in that space, no pun intended.

Hey guys! My name is Jesse, an indie dev from Finland. I've developed and self-published two commercial games on Steam; Silence of the Sleep and DISTRAINT: Deluxe Edition. Long story short, DISTRAINT is doing pretty well. I'll share some statistics here in case some HTML5 publishers are seeing this: 2865 reviews on Steam and 94% of them are positive Over 1,3 million downloads on Google Play (Free to play with ads and IAP to remove the ads) Over 63,000 ratings on Google Play and rating 4.9 / 5.0 Editor's Choice on Google Play DISTRAINT is doing great, and I recently started porting to HTML5. I've very little experience from HTML5 gaming, so I'm here to ask for your advice. Any idea where to go next? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Jesse

Hello all, My colleagues and I from the Illinois Institute of Technology are conducting a research study to develop a measure of prior videogame experience (PVGE), intended to help develop and use learning games. Currently, we are trying to link situational and dispositional factors with PVGE through an online survey to validate the new scale. Please help us with the research by participating in this brief and confidential survey, approved by the university's institutional review board. The link is provided: https://iitresearchrs.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6qZvi2oTDyXwbYN I would be glad to answer any questions or concerns. Thank you!

Hello,I’m a student at the Illinois Institute of Technology and I’m looking for your help. We are conducting an online research study to develop a measure of game experience, and we are currently looking for input from game developers on game definitions. I was hoping you would be willing to take part in the study by responding to our survey. The survey should take no more than 15 minutes of your time, and your answers to the survey are fully confidential. There is no compensation for participation. I would be more than happy to provide you further details or answer any questions on this post. The link to the survey is given below. Your participation would be immensely appreciated. You would be making a great contribution to science about videogames; in fact, this research may contribute to more effective game design and development because there are few holistic measures of game experience and a general lack of agreement on the "proper" way to classify games (as the notions surrounding game genres and types change across time, space, and culture). Thank you!Link: https://iitresearchrs.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5pZK3z7ZkG9AQsZHow would you go about classifying a game you developed? Best,Green

Hello everyone. As I said before on this forum, I am working on a HTML5 Gaming console + API. The feature set that I have in place at the moment is a library for clients and the game. Next to that I have created a dashboard for the console in which games can be selected. The game-view is then loaded into the dashboard window. I also created a client to control the console dashboard (users can open this client on their phone). If a game is selected, the game player view is loaded into the client. The setup uses sockets and emitters to send events from and to the game and clients. I also have some ideas to create a standalone client which contains the socket logic but does not bind the game to the dashboard and client setup. Till now these ideas came from me but I would like to create an actual feedback loop. Filling in this poll would be a first step towards this. If I have a first version online (which will not take long anymore), and people would like to give the platform a try, I would like to setup online developer meetings to get feedback on the platform and new features. Would someone be interested to help me on this journey? Feel free to signup at: www.xentha.com or join me on the Xentha slack (http://xentha.slack.com). All code is open-source and can be found at https://github.com/bdekk/xentha If you have any remarks about what audience is interesting to target, how to monetize or what type of games you would like to see for an HTML5 console and you cannot find your options in the poll, please drop me a line. Thank you in advance for answering the poll

Hello everyone. I am new to this forum so first of all, hello everyone! I have been working on a new local gaming platform this weekend and would like your feedback. I would be happy with technical input but also with input about the idea or what you would like to see to use this platform. The idea of this platform is that people can use their mobile phone to control the player in their game which is being displayed on a computer monitor or a television. In the current state, the project is still not stable but the basics work. I implemented up until now: two library files (xentha-server.js and xentha-client.js) which respectively represent the server and client library files, an API server which accepts API request (to register games or users) and socket connections from clients and a game socket. The API forwards data from and to the client and game socket. For example, client input to the game socket and layout definitions to be presented to the client. For now I used socket io to implement the socket connections, although I am not yet satisfied with the performance, I will see if I can replace this later on. As an example I took a game from the phaserJS examples: Invaders, and altered it a little bit to work with sockets, this still needs more work and contains singleplayer code, like: scores. Next to that, the code is not yet very well written. It still needs some improvement on the structure and redundancy of code. Current functionality Client library: - receive server commands: roomJoined, playerLeft, playerJoined - send input to server Server library (to add to your game): - Receive player input - Define client layout and send to clients (buttons, text) - createRoom, joinRoom, playerJoined, playerLeft - Receive client input - Audio Manager (play, pause) Website: - Profile - Register games. Ideas to work on Server library: - Custom achievements Website: - Lobby - Leaderboards Client -Custom HTML layout definitions All code can be found on github: https://github.com/bdekk/xentha Thank you in advance for any feedback. If you would be interested to help me improve it, let me know or create a pull request. Kind regards, Bram

Hi guys I am new here and so far i was using GUI game engines to create games. From all back-end testings so far that i done on various programming languages and scripting languages i realised that html5 is best solution for my game development. Now i decided to ditch game engines and learn actual coding in some of the frameworks so my code could be much more cleaner, run faster, have better optimization and quality of the games would overall be better. But this is not just for games, but also for personal reasons because i like to be properly educated instead of using most convenient tools. Now i am interested in learning some js framework that has good community support and tutorials, that is easy and fast on learning and performance and if possible to implement in Ubuntu SDK. Also i am mainly using GNU/linux and one of the reasons why i would like to use js is to be mobile and OS independent.but from all OS so far Ubuntu SDK seems like a decent solution for cordova runtime,i tried to use it with phaser but i did not succeed to render cordova runtime instead it was in plain web view. Now overall it does not have to be Ubuntu SDK,but i am interested in HTML5 framework that i can port(wrap) to desktop mainly(mobile would be good to). Any ideas what's the best and why, please write down below,it would help me a lot. Regards

Do you guys think that couch gaming has a future? If not, could you explain why. I am creating an API to support couch gaming and I am working on a website specific for couch games. My definition of couch gaming is that clients use their mobile phone to control the game that is being portrayed on a monitor or a TV screen. Would you guys be interested in such a platform?

Nog passwords, login's etc. Just fire up your browser, enter the pin and go. Currently there are just two examples displaying the functionality on the homepage. But there are some more examples in the documentation. Please check them out. And if you like it then don't hesitate to test it out. We would really like to know what you think about it and if you would like to use it. If you have any questions or remarks concerning PlugPIN JS. Then please don't hesitate to contact us. Yep, it's another flappy bird type of clone. But don't despair! I've added some other elements to the game play. The main reason for me creating this game was I wanted a simple concept to be able to get the game done quickly. Where I spent my time was not on making a unique game, but I wanted to go through the entire process of doing all of the other things outside of the game creation to get a mobile game deployed in an app store with a simple banner advertising along the bottom. There were a lot of challenges to get things working. First off, the board here has been an incredible resource. I used posts here to handle the following issues. Proper scaling of the game for mobile resolutionsBest practices for audio in the mobile space (Kindle Fire being the only exception)Best practices for implementing pause/resumeGetting CocoonJS/MoPub/Admob integrated and workingBest practices and things to avoid when using CocoonJs/Phaser In addition, I wanted to go through the metrics of getting a good looking game out into the Google Play Store. Making appropriate game-play screenshots, videos for the store listing. How to sign the .APK file in order to be published to the store. How to handle versions after deployment to incorporate new features and update to devices. Differences between deploying to Chrome store vs. Google Play vs. Kindle marketplace using a single code base. The lessons learned from this process were to better educate myself on the challenges for targeting mobile platforms. In addition to these findings, I also want to include in the future: deploying to iOS, multiple ad network integration (pros/cons of performance via mopub and impressions), better marketing techniques during the process of game development through release and beyond, testing on multiple mobile devices If you aren't adverse to yet another game that follows the flappy bird mechanic, I would appreciate any feedback on the game or experience on your particular mobile platform. You can download the game here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.orbitalgamestudios.tappyplane Here are some screenshots. All art assets are from Kenny.nl

Hey everyone! This is my first post in these forums. I'm partially new to HTML5. Now you can start spamming me with recommendations on how to learn and operate! I have made mini Flash games in the past, together they sum more than 2 million views worldwide, which is a fair figure, although not very high. I have been waiting for HTML5 to catch up and now I feel that this technology mix known as HTML5 is starting to take off. People can finally play free games on their mobile phones!! I know AS very well, I also know HTML, CSS, because I've been creating websites since I started working, and I know a little Javascript, and I'm fluent in Java and PHP. I'd like to make one button funny games based on my animated characters to make a holistic approach to entertainment and my active products. NOW IT'S THE TIME YOU CAN SPAN ME WITH HTML5 COURSES, JS LIBRARIES, PROCEDURES, METHODS, BEST PRACTICES AND OPERATIONAL BEHAVIORS. And if this post can help other people who are in the same situation as me, it would be great. Thanks a lot in advance!
