druphoria
Finally finished my first attempt at a game. It's a simple platformer with two different levels that you can choose. Here's a link to the game:http://ahung89.github.io/ It was an absolute joy to create this game with Phaser and I must say I'm quite proud of myself for finishing the project. Learned a whole lot about game development and javascript in the process of doing so. I'm really inspired after looking at some of the other games here in this showcase forum and I'm excited to work on my next project. Anyways, the game is pretty basic and there isn't any type of scoring system, but I sincerely hope that you guys will find it to be enjoyable. P.S. - I've only tested this on PCs/Laptops. It uses left, right, and space, and because of the gameplay I highly doubt it will work well (if at all) on mobile or tablets. Just a warning to those of you browsing from one of these devices. rich
Lovely Are those a free graphics set? (they look familiar)
msha
I could not reach the moving platform after quite a few minutes of trying. I don't have the best reflexes but this seems too difficult. But the controls and graphics are really nice.
Smrdis
Too low gravity, too hardocore.
druphoria
Rich - yep, that's a free tileset. I got it from opengameart.org: http://opengameart.org/content/gfxlib-fuzed. As for the sprites, I designed some of them using piskelapp.com, but found others on the web. Thanks for the feedback, guys. I intended to make this game more difficult than your typical platformer, but it seems that maybe I overdid this. The game has a checkpoint feature, but I've only added a single checkpoint in the second (harder) level. Do you think it would help if I added a few more of these? Or should I just make the actual game itself less difficult?
Smrdis
Or should I just make the actual game itself less difficult? I played about 5 min. My best result - 2nd platform . Despite the fact that I am an experienced hardcore player.
druphoria
Got it. I'll make some changes then. By the way, which of the two levels were you playing?
